Explore the Charm of Our Vineyards

Angove Family Winemakers

Anchorage Vineyard

This smaller company-owned vineyard is located just a stone's throw from the winery and is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc. Due to its size, our Vineyard Managers are able to use this vineyard to trial different pruning, irrigation and trellising techniques to maximize fruit quality prior to transferring methods over to Nanya.

Nanya Vineyard

Drive from Adelaide to Melbourne and return to Adelaide . That trip is roughly equivalent to the distance you would cover to traverse each row of Angove's renowned Nanya Vineyard—one of Australia's largest single vineyards within a common boundary.

This enormous vineyard is situated on the eastern bank of the tranquil River Murray approximately 5 km north of the township of Paringa, South Australia. Traveling along every row either pruning, slashing or harvesting will cover a distance of some 1,500 kilometers. "As the crow flies," this is roughly the equivalent of a trip from London to Glasgow and back, Paris to Munich and back, or New York to Detroit and back!

Main Street Vineyards

Los Alamos

Our 525-acre Los Alamos estate vineyard in the heart of Santa Barbara County's sweeping hills is the primary provenance of our Chardonnay. The coastal influence and unique characteristics of this vineyard yield outstanding fruit full of complexity and flavor.

Terra d'Oro

Home Vineyard

The Vineyard, in its entirety, was grafted over to Zinfandel in 1994 on the susceptible rootstock AxR. It is the only Zinfandel vineyard owned that is bilateral cordon trained and used for red wine production. The vineyard is surrounded by mature Valley Oaks with deep roots that monopolize the water supply, thus making it necessary to harvest the outer vines first and continue in a doughnut pattern.

SHR Vineyard

These 40 acres are planted to 80 percent Zinfandel, 13 percent Petite Sirah and 7 percent Barbera. Paying homage to the ancient practice of field blending, all the grapes are co-fermented. The vineyard was laid out east to west with every seventh row being Petite Sirah, the thirteenth Barbera, fourteenth Petite Sirah and so forth. The tractor rows run north to south so the grapes picked into the gondola are brought to winery "blended." This ancient technique is very clever because it allows for interactions between the phenols (extracts from the skins and seeds) which create a complexity to the wine that cannot be recreated if these varietals were harvested separately.

Deaver Vineyard

The Deaver Vineyard has a horseshoe-shaped ridge that runs though the vineyard with a swale in the middle of that horseshoe. That swale produces a crop that is harvested separately due to the soil depth, yielding different complexities in the fruit. The wines are all head-trained, which has been most effective with Zinfandel because it gives the fruit excellent sun exposure.

Trinchero Napa Valley

Vista Montone Vineyard

Southern Napa, like its neighbor, Carneros, is open to the cooling influence of the San Pablo Bay, so grapes grown here ripen slowly, developing concentrated flavors. Our Vista Montone Vineyard is home to a special block known as "Day Break," which faces the rising sun. The vineyard's cool microclimate and chalky soil is ideal for producing deep, complex Merlot.

Mary's Vineyard

Like its namesake, Mary's Vineyard has a lot of personality. This vineyard, located north of Calistoga, was the very first purchased by the Trinchero family and holds significant sentimental value. Named to honor Mario's wife, Mary's Vineyard boasts moderately fertile soils, excellent sun exposure and superb air circulation—ideal for growing Sauvignon Blanc with vivacious and tropical character.

Mario's Vineyard

The grapes for many of our outstanding Cabs come from this 13-acre vineyard surrounding our winery in St. Helena. Located in a narrow, protected part of the Napa Valley, the geography is the product of river erosion, giving the soil a uniquely rocky composition ideally situated for growing stellar Cabernet Sauvignon. Named in honor of Mario Trinchero, this jewel of a site is sustainably formed and produces elegant wine with floral aromas, bright red fruit flavors, and a supple, satisfying texture.

Chicken Ranch Vineyard

Ideally situated on the northern border of the Rutherford appellation, our Chicken Ranch Vineyard yields distinctive Merlot with bright fruit, elegant minerality and dried herbs. Here, the grapes enjoy a constant warm climate and a unique soil composition that imbue the grapes with the prized hallmark of "Rutherford Dust." This vineyard is biodynamically farmed.

Central Park West Vineyard

Our Central Park West Vineyard, named as a nostalgic nod to the New York City roots of the Trinchero family, is located at the southern end of the St. Helena appellation. This 22-acre vineyard is a level site with deep, loamy soils, good sun exposure, and excellent air circulation—the ideal conditions for producing classic Napa Valley Cabernet.
